To playfully support the positive development of young children aged 0-4 years, our playboxes are thoughtfully put together by professionals. With the help of educational and especially fun toys, the following areas of your child’s development will be stimulated:

But the positive development around (the use of) sustainable toys is also one of our goals:

We are a start-up company. We know that steps can be taken gradually to green our business and have the ambition to do so.
Babbo’s origins
My name is Genesis, proud mother of three children. The idea of Babbo’s came about when I was pregnant with my youngest son in 2022. During this pregnancy, I thought back to my dear twins’ first years of life. To all those wonderful and adorable moments. But I also thought about the challenges that would return with the birth of my infant son.
One of those challenges was finding the right toys. Because of the enormous supply, this is quite a search, which you really don’t always have time for. I think it is hugely important to find out what is best to offer your child. ¬Toys that are suitable for a short period of time and do not fit their development (anymore) do not appeal to me. That’s toys that end up lying around unused and flooding my house, which in turn results in waste.
I noticed that there are so many other parents who also struggle with this. Therefore, with Babbo’s, I follow the advice of professionals – in the field of pedagogy and early childhood education – to create circular playboxes that match the different stages of development. In doing so, Babbo’s relieves parents while being kind to the environment.
Play has an important role in the positive development of our children. However, this should not be at the expense of our planet. I believe that we are responsible not only for promoting the growth of our children, but also for promoting positive developments in their environment. I hope with Babbo’s to encourage this in an approachable way. Will you also participate?

Project ‘Play it Forward’
The Dominican Republic is a beautiful country. I partly grew up there and my family still lives there. There is unfortunately a lot of poverty. Fun and educational toys are not taken for granted there for everyone, which of course saddens me and my family greatly.
For a long time, I have been collecting the toys and clothes my children have outgrown and sending them to the Dominican Republic. Once there, my sister distributed the toys and clothes to the students of a public school in a poor community.
Babbo’s goes a step further with the Play it Forward project. Babbo’s playbox assortment is renewed – due to wear and tear and new offerings – every so often. Project Play it Forward donates the still usable toys to children from low-income families in developing countries. This gives the toys an even longer life with children who will enjoy them for years to come.
We start on the Dominican Republic, because my roots are here. Of course, we hope that Play It Forward continues to grow and can expand to other countries. Together, let’s make even more children happy with fun and educational toys. Let’s Play it forward!
